“Dokter kesini, ada korban gempa yang patah tulang.”, ujar Darmawan, salah satu korban gempa.

Setibanya tim kesehatan Humanity First Indonesia di salah satu posko korban gempa di Desa Rawa Sari, Kecamatan Trieng Gadeng, Kabupaten Pidie Jaya, tim disambut dengan sangat antusias dari korban gempa.

Baru saja turun dari mobil, seorang korban menarik-narik salah satu dokter Humanity First Indonesia, dr. Qomaruddin. “Dokter kesini, ada korban gempa yang patah tulang.”, ujar Darmawan, salah satu korban gempa.

Dengan sigapnya dr. Qomarudin mengiyakan ajakan pak Darmawan ke tempat pasien tersebut. “Patah tulang bonggol sendi pinggul ini.”, ujar dr. Qomarudin, tim kesehatan Humanity First Indonesia, setelah mengdiagnosa korban. Kemudian pasien dirujuk ke rumah sakit Umum Kabupaten Pidie Jaya.

Tim Humanity First Indonesia mulai membuka posko dan melakukan pelayanan kesehatan pukul 14.30 sampai dengan pukul 18.00, dengan pasien yang terlayani sebanyak 98 korban gempa yang terdiri dari beberapa jenis penyakit. Diantaranya adalah: luka luka dan patah tulang akibat tertimpa reruntuhan, infeksi saluran pernafasan atas keluhan penyakit kulit, darah tinggi dan rematik.

Gempa bumi berkekuatan 6,5 skala richter mengguncang Kabupaten Pidie Jaya, Aceh, Indonesia. Pusat gempa berada di koordinat 5,25 LU dan 96,24 BT, tempatnya di darat pada jarak 18 kilometer tenggara Sigli, Pidie, dan 2 kilometer utara Meurendu, Pidie Jaya. Menurut laporan Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana, sedikitnya 101 orang meninggal dunia akibat gempa ini. (red.)

Volunteers greeted enthusiastically by earthquake victims

Upon arrival of the Humanity First Indonesia medical team into one of the relieve post in the village of Rawa Sari, Trieng Gadeng District, Pidie Jaya, the team was greeted with great enthusiasm from the victims of the earthquake.

When the team just got out of the car, a victim tugging at one of the doctors of Humanity First Indonesia, dr. Qomarrudin. “Doctor, please come over here, got a victim of the earthquake with broken bones.”, said Darmawan, one of the victims of the earthquake.

Eagerly, dr. Qomarrudin agreed to help Darmawan and went to the visit the patient. “We got a femoral neck and knuckle hip fractures over here”, said dr. Qomarrudin, Humanity First Indonesia medical team. Then the patient got referred to the general hospital in Pidie Jaya district.

Humanity First Indonesia team started to open shelters and health service from 14.30 until 18.00, with patients who served as many as 98 victims of the earthquake, that consists of several types of illness. Among them, there are: wounds and fractures due to falling debris, upper respiratory tract infections, complaints of skin diseases, high blood pressure, and arthritis.

An earthquake measuring 6.5 magnitude shook the districts of Pidie Jaya, Aceh, Indonesia. The epicenter was in the coordinates of 5.25 north latitude and 96.24 east longitude, its place in the ground at 18 kilometers from Tenggar Sigli, Pidie, and 2 kilometers to the north of Meurendu, Pidie Jaya. According to the National Disaster Management Authority, at least 101 people have died in this earthquake.
